Shane is a California-based former pornographic actress, director, producer, and writer. She is best known for creating the groundbreaking Shane's World series of adult videos, which popularized the "gonzo" style of taking performers on real-location trips and capturing unscripted action.
She entered the industry in 1993 (at around age 24) after sending a homemade masturbation video to director Adam Glasser (better known as Seymore Butts). She quickly became one of his star performers and romantic partner at the time. In 1996, she founded Shane's World Studios and launched the Shane's World series. These videos stood out for their adventurous, documentary-style approach - taking groups of performers on vacations, road trips, or to exotic locations and filming everything that happened (sex, parties, behind-the-scenes chaos). The series was highly influential in the gonzo genre. She performed in roughly 80-90 scenes and directed over 40 titles between 1993 and 2007. She is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame for her contributions as both performer and director.
